Slewing ring ball bearings

Slewing ring ball bearings generally belong in the category of large bearings as they transmit axial and radial forces at the same time. Unlike ball bearings, slewing ring ball bearings are not mounted in a housing or on a shaft. Hence, there are mounting holes in the outer and inner rings to enable optimal power transmission and a quick connection to the relevant and adjacent components. The slewing ring ball bearings are usually assembled on top of each other, but a vertical installation is also possible. In metal slewing ring ball bearings, the rolling elements kept at a distance run along a sealed and lubricated raceway. igus offers customers the option to choose between two different 100% lubrication-free types.
